Vicky is on a natural hair journey to discover the beauty in her natural "thirsty roots" and it has been a nine month experience so far. She really enjoys the versatility in styling her kinky curly coils and likes the fact that her pilus is growing healthy and thick.

TR: How long take you been natural and why do you choose to be natural?
Vicky: I've been Natural for nine month's. The reason I made a decision to become Natural, when my hair was relaxed I started to notice that my hair was beginning to look thin and I have always had thicker hair. My hair was not growing at all. So I cut off my hair and made the decision to go natural. This is the best thing that I could accept done for my pilus.. If my hair could talk, she would say " Thank You".
TR: How did y'all deal with the responses from your family and friends?
Vicky: My family unit members were very negative towards my natural hair. My husband hated my pilus and he would not get out with me unless I wore a wig. I refused to wear a wig because I love my natural hair and I was non about to cover it up for nobody. My mother said that I should go a relaxer because that afro look is old fashion. I just ignored everyone and just focused on myself. My husband is starting to like my hair because he is beginning to see that information technology is growing and he feels that information technology does not look that bad on me. I am nevertheless getting negative comments from some family unit members but I ignore them..
TR: What is your electric current hair care regimen?
Vicky: I wash my hair once a week but if I take a protective style I launder it twice a week instead. I use Black soap for my shampoo and I add my Natural oils in the black soap. It makes my hair so soft and manageable. Then I use the V05 Conditioner and for my leave in I employ the Cantu Shea Butter, And so I style my pilus. I co-wash likewise, with the Vo5 Conditioner.
TR: How practise you proceed your hair moisturized?
Vicky: I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut oil or Shea butter. I as well use my homemade shea butter first I melt the shea butter then I add my oils to the mix and when it cools off I utilise that as well to my pilus.
TR: What products and techniques do y'all use to style your hair?
Vicky: If I desire my curls to be more than define I apply the ECO STYLER Gel with Olive Oil. This gel is awesome, it really works with 2 strand twists and complect outs.
I also use Hawaiian silky xiv n 1 this helps to define my curls also. My hair type is 4a combination 4b.
TR: What are your must have products that yous apply for your hair?
Vicky: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, My homemade shea butter mix, coconut oil. My vitamins one a day for women, Biotin great vitamin and my water.
TR: What are your favorite accessories?
Vicky: Head Bands, flowers, hair clips, bobby pins..
TR: What do you like virtually beingness a natural hair diva?
Vicky: I love the fact that I could wear my pilus curly, in a afro or if I want I could straightening my hair. Natural Hair is versatile and I love it. I look frontward to styling my hair everyday because I enjoy it. I as well accept the option of putting my pilus in protective style.
TR: Anything else you may want to add?
Vicky: I am very proud of all my Natural hair sisters and myself. Nosotros are setting an example to everyone specially the younger generation to embrace how God fabricated u.s.a.. Natural Hair is cute and I am very proud to be office of Natural Pilus community..
